Merle E. Rogers, 82, of Lodi, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, March 3, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 25, 1942 in Indore, West Virgina to Mamie (Morton) Rogers.
Merle resided in Clay County until departing for his term in the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country from 1961 to 1964. On June 26, 1970 he married the love of his life, Patricia (Pack) in Chippewa Lake, Ohio. After more than 20 years of service, Merle retired from Permold in 2000. He had an extraordinary talent for tinkering and fixing a variety of things from sewing machines to lawn mowers. Merle also enjoyed cutting lawns in Lodi as far as his mower would safely take him. He will be dearly missed by his family. As a tribute to his wife and symbol of their love, Merle will present Patty with her favorite yellow roses when they are reunited.
