Sandra Lee Krokos, age 79, of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 13th. She was the beloved wife to the late John Stanley Krokos, preceded in death by her loving sister to Marilyn "Mitzi" Burton, and her cherished parents, Lyle and Georgia Drought.
She was a dedicated mother to Sherri Pleichner, Anna Andrekovic, Gina Smoker, Diana Renish, Andrea Andrekovic, Shannon Krokos (Steve), and Alex Krokos (Jaclyn), as well as many foster children whose lives she touched with love and care. A proud grandmother to Joe, Alanna, Aleinna, Andrew, Autumn, Katie, Daisy, and Ralph, a cherished great-grandmother to Joey and Lee; and everyone's favorite aunt.
Sandy was a gregarious, outgoing individual who filled every room with energy, laughter, and smiles. Her presence was magnetic-she had an uncanny ability to make people feel welcomed, heard, and appreciated.
